Question by Teeny: Why is it that there are streets of ryokans (small hotels) in Japan, that won’t allow westerners to stay there?
It appears to be racism, although I realize that they could be un-familar with westerners and find it easier to stick to people they are familiar with. However, I think it is extreme racism. I say extreme, because one doesn’t usually turn down the chance to do business and make money.  I also want to show you how you can lower your rates on SR22 Texas auto insurance, it’s pretty easy to do.

Best answer:

Answer by Vextor
For a couple of reasons. One is because ryokans typically don’t have staff who can understand languages other than Japanese, so they won’t be able to serve foreigners to their standard of service. Second is because most all ryokan is built for people who have been raised in a Japanese cultural setting, thus, they won’t be able to accomodate people who can’t use chopsticks, can’t eat raw fish, need a chair, can’t handle taking baths with other people, and need various other special accomodations. So no, it’s not racism.

The Best Luxury Hotels in Japan

Hotels in Japan
by drzuco

Super Hotels
Although Super Hotels are classified as a budget hotel, they offer some pretty good services which separate them from other hotel chains. For example, they have a free breakfast buffet, well lit rooms and lobbies, wireless internet access, some buildings with all non-smoking rooms and even some hotels featuring hot springs (onsens).

The system
One of the most unique aspects of the Super Hotel is the check-in which is done through an ATM-like machine in the lobby. You select the room you want and put in your money. You are then provided with a piece of paper which has your room number and a number code, which serves as a key which you need when you enter your room.

This keyless system means no check out is required and is part of the secret to the success of the Super Hotel system. Because the front desk is hardly manned it reduces costs by about 35%. This lack of service doesn’t deter repeat visitors though and about 70% of their customers are repeaters.

They have a “Gussuri Nemureru” (sleep well) system which allows you to pick from six types of pillows with varying degrees of firmness.

One thing you do have to be careful of is they do not allow you to check-in after midnight and there are no extensions on the checkout time of 10:00a.m.

Prices
Super hotels are extremely cheap, coming in at under 5,000 yen for a single room. Children over 6 are charged as adults.

Location
There are approximately 30 Super Hotels in various regions, namely Kyushu, Tottori, Kansai, Central Japan, Northern Japan and Greater Tokyo. Tokyo has the highest concentration with 10,  most of them located slightly out of the center of the city in locations such as Omiya, Myoden, Kameido, Akabane etc.

What Are The Best Hotels in China On a Budget ?

China is a destination that never ceases to fascinate its numerous visitors who are looking for uniquely different experiences. The Oriental charm, vibrant nightlife, interesting folklore, awe-inspiring architecture and yummy gourmet selections are just some of the reasons why many visitors find the “Middle Kingdom” such an alluring place.

The memorable experiences of these visitors are also in no small part attributable to the rapidly-improving hotel industry in the country that constantly seeks to reinvent itself to meet the high standards expected by their guests. In this country, you can expect to find a plethora of clean and safe accommodation options including luxury hotels, inns and guesthouses that suits every budget and taste, regardless of which town or city you visit.

Whichever price category your accommodation fits in, you can expect only the very best in Asian warmth and hospitality during your stay in hotels in China.

From budget to luxury – a huge choice of accommodation options at your disposal

The accommodation options in China are as diverse as the country itself, but they have one goal in common – to provide a comfortable and pleasant stay to all guests regardless of their star rating. If you are on a shoestring budget, the one- to two-star hotels will not disappoint in providing a relaxing place for you to rest in between your travels.  The two-star hotels even have barber shops and stores on site.

In many large cities, the budget hotel chains even go one step further in providing a host of in-room amenities, such as free Internet connectivity and plugs that come with universal adapters that are useful for business executives or tech-savvy travelers. Hence, you may be surprised by what these budget hotels offer that would allow them to stay ahead of their competition by being more in touch with their guests’ needs.

What about the hotels that are rated three-star and above? In China, the good news is these hotels are comparable in standards and offerings to what you can expect in the West. Concierge services, on-site health, business and conference facilities, bars and a range of restaurants catering to both Western and Chinese palettes – you name it, they have it.

Abundance in English-speaking hotel staff

Being a country that is eager to accommodate non-Chinese-speaking foreign visitors, you will be amazed at the quickly-improving command of the language by the staff of many of the hotels. This is especially so with 5 star hotels where the staff are mostly competent in the language, while the cheaper hotels at least  have front desk personnel who are able to understand your request and queries, and communicate with you in basic English. However, to be on the safe side, a Chinese phrasebook might be useful to bring along just in case you might need it.

Drinking water in your hotel rooms

Before you turn on your bathroom tap to drink, do be aware that it is generally not advisable to drink tap water in the hotel. You need not worry though, as you are likely to find hot water flasks or electrical boilers at your disposal in your room. You may also want to consider purchasing cheap bottled mineral water, some of which may be provided free of charge in your hotel room.

Some other helpful information

Do note that showing a photo ID, such as your passport, is required when checking into your hotels. Worried about getting lost while wandering outside your hotel? Do not fear, as your hotel room card would contain all the information that is needed to ask for directions and guide you back to your hotel. Hence do remember to bring it with you wherever you go.

Question by Alina B: China Hotels. How are they like?
In fact, I’m going to China for the business, but I don’t really get used to Chinese personalities. How are the Hotels like there? I’m looking for peaceful places. I would be there alone and need concerntration.

How To Date Beautiful Asian Women?

Why is it that so many Western guys are keen on Dating Asian women? How come every year, more Canadians, Brits, Germans, Australians, Americans, and guys from other locations are getting married to Asian women?

Well, the physical beauty of Asian women is undeniable. Their silky black hair…petite, firm bodies…and even the poise and grace with which they walk.

I am sure their gorgeous, exotic features are attractive to you. And then there is the sense of “shy innocence” that Asian women possess. It makes us curious to discover more about them, and it’s a huge turn-on to think that beneath that shy exterior lies a sexual side that is waiting to be unleashed…

But if you were to admit this personal preference to a Western woman, she’d probably respond with scorn. The Western woman will assume that choice to date Asian women is about wanting to have a “slave” who waits on you hand and foot and cleans your house. The bitter Western woman thinks that men who date Asian women aren’t “man” enough to be with a “real lady.”

This simply is not true, and you already know this if you’ve been with beautiful Asian women. The Asian girlfriends I’ve had have been smart, self-sufficient, opinionated and strong. Yet at the same time, they radiate pure femininity.

Basically, Asian women make a man feel the way he is supposed to!

This is the way you and I were born to feel, and it’s what we need in order to feel happy and good about ourselves. Just ask any of your married buddies who have been beaten down and emasculated by their nagging, overbearing wives.

Wanting to date Asian women isn’t any weird “fetish,” nor does it suggest that you are in any way deficient or unable to handle a relationship with a woman of your own race. On the contrary, I say that you are enlightened! You’re willing to think “outside the box” and not follow the same script that your friends do — the guys who settle for whatever girl they can get, because they’re convinced that in order to date stunningly beautiful women (or a hot younger woman) you need to be rich, famous or have movie-star good looks.

Would these men prefer to be with a sexy, gorgeous younger woman who adores them and gives them incredible sex? Of course they’d love that. But most men don’t think this is even possible, so they get married to a woman they feel they are “compatible” with. This usually just means that she is as boring and predictable as he is.

What percentage of these guys wind up feeling truly happy with their lives and are sexually fulfilled? My guess is that this number is very small. Most of my married buddies tell me how jealous they are of my lifestyle, which involves a lot of traveling to Asia and dating Asian women.

Look, we’re all driven by the same needs and desires that we shared with our ancestors 10,000 years ago. We are hard-wired to be men. We desire women who are soft and feminine, and respond to our masculinity and strength. Asian women cater to this need like no other type of female.

There are many legitimate reasons why Western men are drawn towards Asian women. I’m going to give you my Top Ten right now. (Please note, these qualities certainly do not apply to all Asian women…only the good ones!)

#1 They are physically sexy and appealing.

The silky hair; flawless skin; petite, hard bodies; and exotic Oriental features add up to combination that a lot of men find irresistible.

It’s also interesting to note that the Asian face, because of the way it’s constructed, reveals less emotion than the faces of Caucasians. This makes Asian women “harder to read” than Caucasian women, who are known to express their feelings constantly (whether you want to hear them or not!).

In a way, this lends a sense of “mystery” to Asian women. This intensifies their allure since we, as men, are turned on by the “thrill of the hunt.”

Asian women also have great skin quality, and tend to develop less wrinkles than Caucasian woman as they get older — which is why Asian women can remain strikingly beautiful well into middle age.

#2 They tend to be quite approachable.

I’m constantly approaching and chatting up women, and I’ve noticed that even the most beautiful Asian women are easier to approach than Western women. They love to be flirted with, too. When I’m in Asia, I can simply give a girl a friendly smile and say to them in their language: “You’re very cute, may I know your name?” I’ll almost always get a smile in return, and we’ll have a conversation. An American woman, on the other hand, might suspect that you’re “hitting on her” and not give you the time of day.

Asian women really do smile more. It is a part of their culture and upbringing. For example, you can go to poor provinces in the Philippines and all of the people, despite their hardships, will greet you with a friendly smile.

Thailand is literally known as “The Land Of Smiles” because people smile all the time. (This can be confusing to foreigners, since the “Thai smile” can actually mean a lot of different things — I explain this in the “Secrets Of Dating Asian Women” book. But at any rate, it beats being around a bunch of frowning, frumpy Western women!)

It’s mind-blowing to stroll through a big shopping mall in a city like Manila, Jakarta or Bangkok…because so many young, beautiful Asian women will smile at you when you make eye contact with them!

Contrast this with the women in America. They will frown most of the time in order to assert that they can’t be bothered with meeting anyone new. They will automatically consider you to be a loser, or some type of threat, until you prove otherwise.

It’s true that Asian women generally are more “shy” than Western women — but this is just at first. When you know how to converse with them the right way, their shy exterior will quickly melt away and they will be friendly and warm. Much of the “shyness” you are perceiving has to do with their great concern about being polite.

Now, once you engage an Asian woman in conversation, that’s when you’ll want to use certain lines and techniques to build up their attraction and interest in you. I explain how this is done in the “Secrets Of Dating Asian Women” book.

#3 They are excellent homemakers, and take pride in managing the household. A household run by an Asian woman is always going to be clean and organized. The meals will be prepared with care and love.

Even the poorest families keep their living space as clean as possible. In Asia, women will always make sure that your home is clean, and they will take pride in cooking your meals and keeping you well-fed.

#4 They have a rich sense of culture and heritage.

Many Westerners are fascinated by the colorful, exotic, mysterious cultures of Asia, which are steeped in history. In recent times, Asia has gotten a reputation as being rather trendy among Westerners. This is particularly true with Japan, which Westerners have begun to recognize as a Mecca for fashion. (Japanese girls are years ahead of Western girls, with their super-cool, futuristic styles of dress.)

Why else would so many Caucasians, both men and women, put tattoos of Chinese and Japanese characters on their bodies, thinking it makes them look hip and “spiritual” — even though they’ve never even visited those countries? (Very lame, if you ask me…)

By dating Asian women, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more her fascinating culture — including its beliefs, traditions, music, cuisine, movies, arts, and history. This isn’t the case when you date a woman who grew up in the town next to yours. Being able to constantly learn new things about her culture, while sharing yours with her, can be a big advantage in a relationship. There is less chance of the two of you growing bored with each other. When you date an Asian woman and have genuine appreciation for her culture and background, there are new things for you to explore every day.

#5 Asian women place a high value on relationships and have unconditional love for their family.

It’s a fact that Asian women are close to their families and put great importance on their relationships with family members. This extends to their feelings towards the man they date. When you choose the right Asian woman to date or marry, you can expect her to be highly loyal to you. She will not do anything to damage the relationship. Having this type of devoted partner tends to bring out the best in you, as a man.

You may be surprised to learn that the Philippines is one of only two countries on the planet where divorce does not exist! Filipina woman are brought up to believe that marriage is a lifetime commitment, as it’s supposed to be. In other Asian countries that do permit divorce, it’s still an absolute last resort, and is considered to be terribly shameful. Of course, it’s a different story in America — where the attitude of women is more like, “Let’s give it a try, and if I’m bored with you a year from now, I’ll leave you and take the house and half your money.”

Again, I must remind you that I am speaking in general terms here. Are all Asian women passionately loyal and committed to their relationships? Of course not. There are plenty of warped women and gold diggers out there; you’ve got to keep your wits about you and know to avoid them. (Which can be difficult when you find yourself dating an Asian girl with the tightest body you’ve ever laid your hands on!) The “Secrets Of Dating Asian Women” book contains some very helpful tips on this.

#6 We believe the attraction is mutual.

One of the reasons why Western men are interested in dating Asian women is, quite simply, because they’ve been told that Asian women love Western men! This is certainly true when you are spending time in Asia, but it’s still true (to a slightly lesser degree) when you are meeting Asian women in a Western country. The thought of this “mutual interest” is what compels a lot of guys to seek Asian girlfriends.

It’s true that if you have light skin and are reasonably fit and attractive, women in Asia will have an “automatic” attraction towards you — because they have a strong desire to have light-skinned babies. In their culture, light skin is an indicator of status and beauty.

#7 When you date Asian women, interracial stigmas aren’t really a problem.

Western society is a lot more tolerant of other races than it was 100, or even 50, years ago. In America, we elected a black President, which would have been unthinkable only a decade ago. But racism does persist in different forms, and there is still some unease in the West when it comes to interracial relationships.

The reality is that a white man marrying a black woman, or a black man marrying a white woman, is still considered unnacceptable by many people, or at the very least it is considered strange. But when Western guys and Asian women date, it is generally quite accepted. In fact, some people say it has become “trendy” in recent years to date Asian women! Now, I’m not saying this is an important reason why you should date Asian women, but it’s another positive factor to consider.

Interracial relationships between non-Asian men, and beautiful Asian women, have become very common. And it’s silly for some people to think that the differences in your upbringing and culture, and those of an Asian woman, will create difficulties. In fact, these differences can give the relationship an added dimension that keeps things interesting.

(One difference in backgrounds that can create obstacles is if you marry an Asian woman who comes from a very poor family, since you may be expected to provide financial support for her relatives. I talk more about this in the “Secrets Of Dating Asian Women” book.)

#8 Asian women have a spiritual core.

Many Asian women observe a religion and take it seriously. Whether she worships God, Buddha or whomever, religion tends to give Asian women a sense of calmness and inner peace that many Western women lack. Asian women don’t need to do constant “soul searching” and fret about what is lacking in their lives. For the Asian woman, a loving partner, a happy, healthy household, and the love of her family and God is enough.

#9 They have a hardworking nature.

Asian women typically start helping out their families from a very young age, waking up early to help out with house-hold chores. This is a dramatic difference from the way children are typically raised in Western countries. Also, they believe in working hard in order to provide a better future for their families.

You see this in immigrant communities throughout the West. Asian immigrants will work nonstop in order to send financial support to their families back in Asia, and to enable family members to come over from Asia to join them. They build their own businesses and are careful with their money. Asian people, in general, respect the importance fo hard work. A woman who is raised this way isn’t going to turn into a lazy, spoiled “princess” as soon as you put a ring on her finger!

#10 Asian women take great pride in their appearance.

Even if they’re only stepping out to shop for groceries, Asian women always want to look presentable. Going to the salon is a ritual. They feel it’s important to stay sexy for their man. This is a far cry from the way many Western women behave once they’re married and no longer need to worry about landing a husband. They start packing on the pounds, and would rather wear sweat pants and baggy shirts than the short skirts and tight-fitting jeans that sexy Asian women prefer.

By the way, if you’re still wondering why Western women have negative things to say about Western guys who marry Asian women…can you say “jealousy?”

I had to spend a long time figuring out how to attract beautiful Asian women and make them feel that special “chemistry” (otherwise known as attraction). If you want to learn how to master the art of attracting Asian women, all you need to do is read my book “Secrets Of Dating Asian Women.” All of these secrets are explained in detail. Learn these lessons, and you can start attracting and dating beautiful Asian women today.

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 24, 2007

Online dating services have become an increasingly popular way to meet singles, but many professionals are too busy to utilize service, states AsianSuperMatch.com. In response, the online Asian dating service is announcing the launch of its offline service, available only in the NY/NJ/CT/PA area. It is hoped this option will assist even more busy professionals in finding romance and love.

AsianSuperMatch.com has found the biggest reason some single people don’t use online dating services is they are too busy. Busy professionals want to find romance and love, but they don’t have time to look for it. A lot of people said that by the time they go home from work, they don’t feel like spending time with computer.

Other reasons why some single people don’t want to use online dating services:

1) Some singles, especially among the Asian women interviewed, don’t want their photos posted (they feel too shy or uncomfortable).

2) Other single women are concerned about the quality of men found online believing they might be married or they might date a lot of women without serious intentions.

3) Other people think that online dating is for younger people and feel that they are too old to try.

4) Some people have tried it but have been disappointed; they have had a bad experience or thought it was too time consuming.

Upon discovering a lot of professional singles and single Asian women want to find romance but don’t have time to look for it, AsianSuperMatch.com decided to add its offline matchmaking service. Male clients tend to be successful professionals seeking Asian women for romance, dating, serious relationships and possible marriage; and Asian female clients tend to be attractive, college educated, cultured and seeking quality single men for a lasting relationship. Is Asia A Great Place To Travel To?

I become quite excited when I think about Travel to Asia. It is world’s biggest continent with highest population. Hence, an amazing mix of culture and tradition is an obvious and inevitable element of Asia. With amalgamation various countries and its specialty – India, land of tradition; China, legacy of dragon; Singapore, city of light; Angkor, way of Hinduism – Travel to Asia is one of the most lavish experiences of life.

Every country in Asia is a continent in itself due to the vastness and variety it offers. Hence, it is quite impossible for a person to travel around Asia in a single trip. So, your tour can be essentially divided into three parts: South East Asia, Indian Sub Continent, and Asia Pacific.

South East Asia – While you Travel to Asia, it’s quite impossible to ignore the bunch of countries that comprise ‘South East Asia’. This part includes countries like Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Singapore. Variety is considered to be the spice of life here as flying from one country to another is cheap. This bunch is like a vast country in itself with innumerable places to explore and several experiences to adore.

Indian Subcontinent – The variety and vastness of cultures and traditions found in India is unmatched. However, voyaging through this beautiful land that encompasses Taj Mahal, a wonder of the world, is one of the cheapest holidays you will ever find on earth. Similarly, the countries that comprise Indian Subcontinent – Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka, Tibet, and Nepal – offer vast assortment of unusual experiences.

Asia Pacific – Known for its financial stability, the countries of China, Japan, and Korea fabricate ‘Asia Pacific’. A tour to Asia Pacific is quite different from South East Asia and Indian Subcontinent. People from all around the world travel to this part of the continent specifically to earn money. Land of another wonder of the world (the Great Wall of China), Asia Pacific attracts millions of tourists every year.

While you Travel to Asia, it’s better to hire a professional guide because comprehending the nature and immensity of this continent will not be easy.

Tongdosa Temple is famous for not having any Buddhist statues in the temple. However, you must stop by its main building, which have sarira (marble-shaped relics retrieved after cremating Buddha) enshrined in the place of a Buddha statue. Nicknamed “a prison in heaven,”

Songgwangsa Temple means “a rest area for clouds and winds.” It is an ideal spot to relax body and mind. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is a temple frequented by tourists visiting Busan. It features picturesque scenery as it towers over the ocean. It offers many other attractions, including a dragon-shaped stone sculpture, Korea’s largest Buddha statue, and a wishing rock.

No.8 Famous Mountain Tour (Seoraksan Mountain, Jirisan Mountain, Geumgangsan Mountain)

A mountain climber was once asked, “Why do you climb a mountain?” and he answered, “Because there is a mountain.”Korea is a perfect place for such an enthusiast as the majority of its landscape is covered with mountains. In addition to a sense of accomplishment upon conquering their peaks, Seoraksan Mountain, Jirisan Mountain and Geumgangsan Mountain offer the pleasure of a beautiful nature experience.

Seoraksan Mountain has a number of peaks and valleys, including Korea’s third-highest peak, Hangyeryeong. Designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, it is home to diverse species of plants and animals.

The origins of the name of Jirisan Mountain, Korea’s first national park, lead to a popular belief that the mountain has the power to turn a foolish person wise. Though it is famous for its steep and towering peaks, it is also good for family climbers as there are various paths on the mountain.

Geumgangsan Mountain, located in North Korea, commands a unique view in each season, and so it has a different name for each season: Geumgangsan Mountain, Bongraesan Mountain, Pungaksan Mountain and Gaegolsan Mountain. You will need to sign up for a package tour to visit Geumgangsan Mountain. Among four different courses, all of which feature the seasonal beauty of Geumgangsan Mountain, Guryongyeon Falls is not to be missed.

No.9 Ancient Palace Tour (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Deoksugung Palace)

Built during the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910), Gyeongbokgung Palace is recognized as the finest among the five major palaces. As a main palace representing the Joseon dynasty, it was a residence for royal families and a place where official ceremonies and rituals were held. It is a famous destination and a favorite among foreign tourists who visit Seoul.

Changdeokgung Palace is a secondary palace built after Gyeongbokgung. Its original form is the best preserved of all the royal palaces of the Joseon dynasty. Its rear garden with its harmony of nature and man-made structures is known for its tremendous beauty. Untouched natural settings and pavilions create a garden that is truly fit for a royal king.

Deoksugung is a royal palace where King Gojong, the 26th king of the Joseon dynasty, lived until his final days. Especially famous are Seokjojeon, which hosted foreign envoys, and the stonewall path that has a superstitious belief associated with it that lovers who walk along the wall together will break up.

Best Cruises in Asia That Everyone Must Do

An Asian cruise is like a dream come true and the cruise of a lifetime. You’ve got to see the choices to believe them! You have cruises from 5 nights to 24 nights. Let’s check them out to see the offers you may expect, the itineraries and the cruise ship deals.

A 5-night Asian cruise would sail from Shanghai and an 8-night cruise to Southeast Asia would sail from Tokyo. The 24-night cruise to Asia could sail from Singapore. The itinerary for the 5-night cruise would have a day’s halt each in Fukuoka, Japan and Busan in South Korea. It would cruise on the other days. The 24-night Asian cruise would sail to Phuket in Thailand, Cochin in India, Dubai in the UAE, Alexandria in Egypt and Athens in Greece among others. It would be at sea for a fortnight.

Let’s look a little closer at the cruise ship deals. The 24-day cruise will sail on a relatively smaller ship, one with a crew of about 390 and with about 700 passengers on board. A smaller ship is expected to add to the coziness and the feeling of intimacy. This ship is a new ship, one that was launched in 2007. It boasts of two specialty restaurants, the amenities of a concierge service, spa and wellness besides a wine bar and a piano bar. There’s live entertainment organized onboard. The Martini Bar could prepare 20 of the finest variations before you move on to the disco! Onboard Internet helps you keep in contact with your friends and relatives.

Among the other cruise ship deals is the 8-night cruise that sails from Tokyo and has Shanghai in China and Jeju Island in South Korea as two of the ports it visits. It cruises at sea for three days. You could be an early bird and claim a free offer of dinner for two at the ship’s specialty restaurant! The liner boasts of a two-story dining room, an 18-hole miniature golf course, four whirlpools and facilities for aerobics, sauna and spa treatments besides two outdoor pools. Your memories could be made of these cruises!

My Favorite Asian Food Cooking Tips

Asian cooking can generally be classified into several categories on the basis of the regional styles of cooking and the people and culture of those regions. Some of the main categories of Asian food are East Asian, Southeast Asian, South Asian, Central Asian and Middle Eastern. In common usage however, Asian food (also referred to as Asian cuisine) primarily includes South and Southeast Asian cuisine. The main countries that constitute this region are India, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Burma etc.

Chinese food is generally considered to be East Asian food, even though China stretches from across mid-Asia to the Far East. Rice is the most important staple through most of China. In some regions however, noodles are preferred to rice. Most foods are prepared by mincing or cooking, and are cooked in a wok, using very little oil. Traditionally, there are eight main regional cuisines in China: Anhui, Cantonese, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Sichuan and Zhejiang. The three distinct regional cuisines however, are Shanghainese – characterized by hot and spicy chilly pepper flavoring, Cantonese – associated with flavorful meat and vegetable combinations, and Mandarin – associated with steamed noodle and bread dumplings.

Since Japan is an island nation, much of its food includes fish and fish-based ingredients. Rice and sliced, salted vegetables are staples in Japanese cooking. Soy products such as soya sauce, soya paste and tofu are also used in many Japanese preparations. Japanese cuisine also includes sushi, meats in teriyaki sauce, lightly battered and fried meat and fish, as well as shellfish called tempura. Japanese food is healthy, tasty and simple to cook. It is low-fat, low-cholesterol, and well-known for reducing heart-related diseases.

While different parts of India are known for their different cultural backgrounds, they are also known for their different flavors and cuisines. Vegetarian food includes khakra and dhokla from Gujarat, daal-baati-choorma from Rajasthan, the Kashmiri dum-aloo, as well as dosas and kesari bhaat from South India. Non-vegetarian delicacies, especially the tandoori kind, were especially devised for the Nawabs of India. The saffron-flavoured reshmi kebab, and the lime juice and garlic marinated fish tikka serve as delectable appetizers in combination with the yoghurt-marinated chicken sheek kebab. Tandoori food is the perfect evidence of the richness of India’s cultural diversity and royalty.

Asian recipes were casually shared among the womenfolk in Asia, who generally got together after a long day’s work, to discuss the day’s events. Many of these recipes were guarded as important family secrets and carefully passed down from one generation to another. Thai food is a blend of Chinese, Malay, Indian, Myanmar, Khmer, Laotian and to a lesser extent, Portuguese cuisines. It is a harmonious blend of indigenous spices. Malaysian cuisine consists of fish, seafood, vegetables and poultry, though beef is conspicuously absent. It is usually spicier than Chinese food. Indonesian cuisine is also known for its unique blend of sweet and sour spiciness. Asian cooking has enormous potential in modern times, as Asian food chains are springing up all over the world very rapidly, and are also enjoying immense popularity.

From our Asian Cooking and Culinary series: There are taste buds for sweet, sour, salty, and bitter flavors, but none for spicy-hot. Those are developed over time. What is it behind that spicy hotness that Asians love so much in their food? This program profiles everything spicy; from the burning flavors of northern Thailand to Japans sinus-shocking wasabi, the strong spices of India, and the pleasurable hotness of Sichuan food. Spicy Hot Chilies is not only an adventure throughout Asian culture, but an adventure in painful pleasure

Answer by hmah
I wouldn’t say Asian cuisine is healthier or not than others.
I guess each culture has their own healthier or unhealthier way of cooking .

Healthier Asian food is sushi, noodles in soup broth with lots of vegetables, ricepaper rolls etc.

Unhealthier food is anything deep fried such as sim sums, spring rolls, tempura battered food.
Curries can be healthy if you don’t use coconut cream/milk.
